Scanner Services
Room MechE 10 have network-attached scanners. These scanners,
opposite the printers in MechE 10, can be operated using
"xsane" software on Linux or Windows workstations.
From Linux or Solaris:
- for MechE 10: module load scanner
- xsane
From Windows:
- Start->Quicklinks>XSane.---
(Not available on the Windows Terminal Servers.)
Warning: it saves all files to c:\temp (which is deleted when you log out).
