Enet has implimented a VPN server to facilitate secure Internet communications between remote users and our network. This VPN is similar to the VPN used by the University of Minnesota (but is older and needs an IPSec client to work).
For Windows 64bit/32Bit, MacOS and Linux, Please see the
OIT VPN web site
If you want to use the Enet VPN, use an appropriate IPSec VPN Client software (AKA: IPSec/L2TP ).
IMPORTANT NOTE: The "Cisco Anyconnect VPN Client" DOES NOT WORK with our VPN (it is NOT IPSec) - it does work with the UofM VPN.
Once the Cisco IPSec VPN client software is installed, make these changes to configure that software to work with the Enet VPN:
NOTE: If using another IPSec VPN client, you should use the below as a guide to connect to the ENET VPN (you will have to muddle through).
You should now be able to select the "Enet" Vpn entry and click "Connect" to sign-on to the Enet network. Note that to use the Enet VPN you will need to use your ME or AEM userid and (unix/email) password
